NEWS UPDATES
6/13/09...Heavy rainfall just before race time proved beneficial for the #65 Goldesberry Motorsports team. Jordan finished 3rd in his heat and the dash and started 7th for the feature. He finished with a solid 3rd place for the 1st MASS show at Vermillion County Speedway. Jordan will head to Spoon River Speedway on 6/19/09 where he has previously won the 24th Annual Tom Knowles Memorial Race in September 2008.
6/05/09...Jordan's 1st night at Lawrenceburg with the WoO ended early as his car met with the wall in turn 4 during his heat race and flipped causing severe damage to the car. Jordan walked away unhurt.
5/30/09...Jordan's 1st attempt at an ASCoC race was at Eldora on a high banked 1/2 mile track in a 410 car. He finished the heat race in 9th place. The B Main had him starting 13th and after the first couple laps, Jordan was pushing forward, then evidently contact with another car caused a flat left rear tire. Back to the infield, a new left rear was put on and he was ready to restart the race after 1 caution lap. We thought we had 2 laps under caution, instead the race was restarted before Jordan could get back on the track.
5/24/09...Starting 13th in the feature doesn't really show the whole picture, a delayed start from cars in front of Jordan caused several cars to pile up. This put Jordan actually starting the race from the 20th position. Initially he was able to pick up several places until later in the race, the track seemed to have only one lane for racing left us finishing in 10th place.
5/22/09...A 2nd place finish in the heat race after starting 3rd, then finishing 6th in the dash, put Jordan in the 6th position to start the feature. The car was initially very strong pushing him forward to 4th or 5th, but tire wear late in the race resulted in a 6th place finish. It was a good finish for our first Sprint Invader race of the year.
5/17/09...Jordan was the 2nd fastest qualifier for an open 410 race at Shepp's Speedway and after contact with another car in the heat, he was unable to finish the heat race. Instead of throwing caution to the wind, Jordan decided to pull his 410 Maxim car into the infield after several laps of the feature instead of creating more insult to an already injured racecar.
5/09/09...A strong finish at Lawrenceburg MASS race for the #65 Goldesberry Motorsports team. Jordan started 13th in the A Main and after several laps put his car on the high side, continuing to push forward, finishing a close 3rd behind the 2nd place car. We will head to Morgan County Speedway for SIA Friday and Shepp's Speedway Sunday for a couple nights of racing closer to home. |
